What coins are for
1, 5, or 25 coins on the player while you're listening. Goes directly to the creator (minus a small platform fee). No card transaction per tip — just a balance debit.
Custom audios, birthday messages, morning packs — whatever the creator offers on their profile. Coins are held until delivery; auto-refunded if the creator misses the deadline.
20 coins ($5) gives a creator one month of premium tier — they get unlimited script fills, premium-only features, and your name on the grant. Gifts stack across multiple gifters.
Two reasons. One: card-processing fees on small amounts (50¢ tips) eat the entire transaction. Two: charging your card every time you tap "tip" creates dozens of tiny statements and high chargeback risk. Coins concentrate the card transaction into one purchase, then everything after that is balance-only — frictionless for you, lower-risk for creators.
No. By design. Coin purchases are non-refundable per our T&C — that's what makes the system work. Once you've bought coins, the value is in your balance and the creator-payout flow can rely on it. (If you have a billing dispute about the original purchase, that goes through the standard chargeback process; you wouldn't go through us.)
Coins expire 90 days after purchase. We email you 30 days, 10 days, and 1 day before expiry so you have time to use them. Expired coins don't refund — once the timer's up, they're gone.
Yes. Anonymous tips don't carry a message (we don't allow tip messages from anon accounts to prevent harassment), but the coins still go to the creator and you don't need an account.
The creator gets 85% of the gross. The platform keeps 15% — the same as we'd take from a card-processed tip, but with all the chargeback protection of the coin model. Creators see exactly what they earned per tip in their dashboard.
Not at the moment — coins are bound to your account. The closest thing is gifting creator premium with your coins (which gives them the perk you'd be funding). Direct listener-to-listener gifting may come later.
